Activation Answers

When I enter my activation code I get a message saying that the registration failed. What should I do?

In order to activate AutoRun Architect it needs to access the Internet. Please ensure that you have an open Internet connection. If it is not possible to connect the computer to the Internet then please contact us and we will provide alternative means for activating the program.

This is may also be caused by some firewall blocking the program from contacting our web site to confirm the activation code. Please ensure that there are no firewalls that are blocking the program from accessing the Internet.

When I enter my activation code I get a message saying that it has already been used. What should I do?

Unfortunately, due to the very widespread problem of software piracy we are forced to employ an Internet based activation system. This limits the amount of times each code can be used.

If you need to reuse a code then please contact us and we will, at our discretion, be happy to reactivate your code. Please be sure to send us your current code and the reason you need to reuse the code.

General Answers

When I run the AutoRun from within AutoRun Architect it works fine but when I try my CD after burning it it does not start automatically. What should I do?

There are several reasons that this may happen:

  1. The problem may have to do with the burning of the files to the CD.

You need to burn everything in the CD Image Directory to the CD exactly as it appears in the directory on your hard disk. This includes all sub-directories and their contents. There should be files called "Autorun.exe" and "Autorun.inf" at the root of your CD and a directory called "Autorun" with a file called "Settings.ini" in it.

The best way to burn your CD is to use the Burn button in AutoRun Architect.

  2. Try reconfiguring or turning off any anti-virus that may block AutoRun programs.

Why can't I see my graphic file when I browse to it?

Most of the graphics that are used in AutoRun Architect need to be in BMP (Microsoft Bitmap) format. When you browse to a graphic file it will only show the graphics of BMP format. If your graphic is in another format (such as JPG or GIF) then you need to convert it to the BMP format. This can be done by loading the graphic into Microsoft Paint and then go to the File menu and choose Save As and then in the Save as Type list choose the BMP (Microsoft Bitmap) format.

I have a graphic file that is not in BMP (Microsoft Bitmap), how can I use it?

Most of the graphics that are used in AutoRun Architect need to be in BMP (Microsoft Bitmap) format. If your graphic is in another format (such as JPG or GIF) then you need to convert it to the BMP format. This can be done by loading the graphic into Microsoft Paint and then go to the File menu and choose Save As and then in the Save as Type list choose the BMP (Microsoft Bitmap) format.
