The AutoRun can protect your CD from being started by unlicensed users.
There are two options for securing your CD.
Machine Activation: The AutoRun will only work on a specific computer.
User Activation: The security will be based on the user entering a username and password or an authentication code.
In either case, without proper validation, the AutoRun will not continue.

To define machine authentication:
1.     Select the Activate machine authentication check box.
2.     Enter the MAC address of the target computer in the text boxes. The MAC address is a set of 6 pairs of alphanumeric characters. You can typically get the MAC address for a machine as follows
a      Open the Windows Start Menu.
b      Open the Run dialog box.
c      Open a DOS command window by typing "cmd" into the Run dialog and press OK.
d      At the DOS command prompt type ipconfig /all and press Enter.
e      The MAC address will appear as the Physical Address.

To define the user authentication:
1.     Select the Activate user authentication check box.
2.     Select either:
·      Username/Password: The user will need to enter the username/password that you select.
OR
·      Authentication code: The user will need to enter the authentication code that you select.
3.     If Username/Password was selected, enter a user name and its password in the available text boxes.
4.     If Authentication code was selected, enter the code in the available text box.
5.     Select one of the following options to define when to implement the user authentication:
·      First time only: Prompt the user to enter his security information the first time he uses the CD the computer. On subsequent runs, the AutoRun will skip the user authentication dialog box.
·      Every time: Prompt the user to enter his security information every time he uses the CD.
