Viewers are programs that allow a user to open a document. For a document of type *.doc (Word Document)
the
viewer is Microsoft Word. AutoRun Architect allows you define, delete or edit your viewers.
To modify the viewers:
1. Go to the File menu.
2. Select Manage Viewers. A list of known viewers is displayed.
3. Select a viewer from the Viewer list.
4. Click the Add button. The Viewer Settings Dialog will open.

5. Choose a Name for the viewer.
6. Click Browse and select the Installation File.
7. Enter any Parameters that should be passed to installation when it is executed.
8. Choose all the File Types that will be handled by this viewer.
1. Click on Add to add a new file type. Type the file extension into the text
box in the dialog that appears and
click OK.
2. To delete an existing file type select the file type and click Delete.
9. Select one of the options for when the viewer installation should be executed:
·If no viewer exists for file type: The Viewer installation file will only be executed on the end user's machine
if the user does not have any executable file associated with the file type.
·If no viewer is less then: The Viewer installation file will be executed on the end user's machine if the user
does not have any executable file associated with the file type or if the version of the associated executable
is less then the version specified in the text box.
10. Select the Prompt before running install check box if you want to display a dialog
box for the end user to warn
the user that you are about to install software on their computer. The dialog box will only be displayed if the
software installation is about to be run based on the settings above.
11. If you chose to prompt the user then enter the Message Text that will be displayed
in the prompt dialog.
12. Select the Allow user to skip the installation check box if you want to give the user
the option of skipping the
installation of the software and continuing with the installation. If you select this option a button with the text "Skip"
will displayed in the Prompt dialog.
