Open a Web Site

The AutoRun can open an Internet web site in the users default Web Browser.

To open an Internet site:
1.     Choose the prefix for the Internet Address of the web site to be opened. Choose one of:
·      http:// - Most of the Internet sites use this prefix.
·      https:// - Secure Internet sites.
·      ftp:// - File Transfer Protocol (FTP) sites.
2.     Enter the Internet Address of the web site to be opened. (Example: www.cnn.com)

Advanced Options
In order to view the advanced options for this action you need to be in Advanced mode. See Working with Modes (Standard/Advanced) for mode information on switching modes.

In order to create a more dynamic AutoRun you can read the web site to open from the registry. This could be used to explore a web site that you specify in a previous step from the AutoRun.
1.     Enter the Registry key in the edit box.
2.     Enter the Value name in the edit box.
When the AutoRun executes the web site address that should be opened is read from the specified location in the registry.
